Episode 4: Equipment, Software, and Recording Space for Your Credit Union’s Podcast

It’s time to get into some of the technical details. I share thoughts on what you need to start a podcast on almost any budget.

Full Disclosure: Some of these product links are affiliate links. It doesn’t cost you anything extra, but it lets the seller know I’m the person who sent you and I earn a tiny commission when you purchase the item.

I use LibSyn for my podcast file hosting. It’s easy to use and plans start at just $5/month.

My current setup uses Audacity for recording and editing. It’s an open source piece of audio software that works across all platforms. Oh yeah…and it’s FREE! Just go to the link and download.

In the past I’ve done my recording and editing in GarageBand. If you have any Apple product, you should already have GarageBand on there. Look for this icon: garageband icon
